| Sitting Duck Cafe, Auckland | | |
Back home at last. No longer do we have to get up, pack the car, drive somewhere, unpack the car... Now we can just relax and have someone bring us a decent latte. This is us having breakfast at the Sitting Duck cafe overlooking the Westhaven Marina. |

| Viaduct Harbour | | |
Then a wander around the Viaduct Harbour and a look a the super yachts... |
| |
| |
| Amerigo Vespucci | | |
The Italian sail training ship Amerigo Vespucci was open to the public -for the last time as it was about to make the voyage home after having been in Auckland for the America's Cup festivities. |

| Amerigo Vespucci 2 | | |
So we got the chance to go aboard. Great! Built in 1930, over 100M long, the ship has never been to New Zealand before, and is unlikely to ever come our way again. |

| Amerigo Vespucci 3 | | |
It has rather more deck room than the yacht we sailed in the South Island... |

| Amerigo Vespucci 4 | | |
Just look at the detail woodwork that has gone into this life raft! (my dad would like that) |
| |
| |
| Ropes, Ropes, Ropes | | |
There were ropes everywhere on this ship. |
| |
| |
| Why 4 steering wheels? | | |
The ship is so heavy that it takes 8 men to steer it! ...no I'm not kidding! An Itialian sailor told me that, so it must be true! |
| |
| |
| Pool Time! | | |
Time for a bit of a dip and a bit of a sunbathe, got to brush up on that tan before we send Anne back home... |
| |
| |
| Splash! | | |
...well Anne seemed to enjoy it! |
